Kongas was a bunch of European session musicians who had their start as early as 1973/74 with such albums as "Anikana-o," which was partially produced by Alec R. Costandinos. As one can tell by their name, the emphasis was on percussion-very jungle-like at times.
Kongas' "Africanism" album shown here was produced by Cerrone and featured the club cuts "Gimme Some Lovin'" and "Dr. Doo-Wah."
