Hott City had a few releases on Butterfly Records with the most known being "Ain't Love Grand." "I Took His Money" starts off with a hard driving beat and nice bassline. It is very catchy and a sleeper so do grab any Hott City release even if you are not familiar with it. Notice the spelling is not Hot City, but Hott City with two t's.
Producers, Jeffrey Parsons and Jeffrey Steinberg were responsible for "Without Your Love" by Cut Glass" so now you know they are good!

Apr 02, 2009 | 5:54 pmI was the co-producer of "HOTT CITY", a disco album
originally placed and released on Butterfly Records
in the late 70's.
I would be interested in any 'covers', re-releases or subsequent recordings of these 5 songs.
I also co-produced "Without Your Love", by Cut Glass, released on 20th. Century Fox in the late 70's...and would like to know of any covers of this song.
Thank you
Jeffrey Parsons

Jeff:
I'm Gary from Hong Kong. Do you have any biographical data or subsequent history on Sherry Fox, the haunting female voice that sang lead on "If All You're Gonna Do Is Dance"? Not many Midwest-accented voices like that on dance records. She has at least one huge fan here for just that one song..
