The late Loleatta Holloway was born and raised in Chicago and got her start doing Gospel. In 1977 she made her move to Salsoul's Gold Mind Records to begin her career in Disco.
Loleatta Holloway had great success with other songs like "Hit and Run" and "Crash Goes Love" in the 1980s. In addition Holloway provided vocals on Dan Hartman's classic "Relight My Fire."
Loleatta Holloway and Dan Hartman team up once again for one of Loleatta's biggest Disco hits yet, "Love Sensation." Her unmistakable powerhouse vocals are evident throughout and one can easily understand why she is so heavily sampled in various house tracks.
Loleatta Holloway is still active today despite some serious health issues a few years back. Her music is readily available on vinyl records and various CD compilations. Loleatta Holloway is required listening for any Disco aficionado.

Apr 13, 2008 | 8:09 amWhen Dan Hartman teamed up with Loleatta Holloway, I expect something good, I wasn't disappointed!! Very strong record, on my scale from 1-10, it gets a 10. Is it a DISCO CLASSIC? I don't think it had the longevity needed to be called that!!

I love 'Runaway' too!

Awsome song and talent. Nothing more needs to be said...
