Remember the old NBC television show, CHiPS? Well the group Corniche were the ones behind the theme song for this show. This promo 12 inch Disco single from Windsong / RCA gives you the complete song including the ending with the dispatcher voice cutting in. The "Theme from CHiPS is really cheesy, but quite enjoyable especially if you remember watching the show.

I got this record, not expecting a masterpiece, but simply a longer version of the funky disco bassline + disco beat you hear during the opening credits to the show. I got what I expected, and then some!
The arrangements are spectacular, and the horns, strings, and bass united with the upbeat disco beat make for a great track. The only reason for listening enjoyment to be hindered may be your self-consciousness towards actually enjoying the soundtrack to a non-hip, cheesy show. Forget that! Just imagine you're hearing this for the first time (which you actually will be, only having previously heard a small portion of the track), and enjoy disco magic!
