MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

Claudja Barry is best known for "Boogie Woogie Dancing Shoes" on Chrysalis Records. Claudja Barry's "Sweet Dynamite album is full of great music including the awesome low BPM "Love For the Sake of Love," which takes a powerful, but sleaze sounding role.

This was a different Claudja Barry, not the up-tempo stuff she is well-known, but a softer, funky sound. I may have played a few of these cuts, but since I don't remember anything special, I can't really give you much. I usually remember all the good stuff, maybe that tells us something. On my scale from 1-10, I give this album a 3.

"Dance Dance Dance" is nothing to do with the Chic classic. It's a slow to mid-tempo rather non-descript tune. Nothing to get excited about.

Is "Dance, Dance, Dance" the cover of Chic's disco hit of the same name?

Montells track is hardly even a sample, it is the basic song without Claudja on it. Talk about Pirates. I don't know if it was a hit or not but Claudja should be knocking his door down for the royalties there! "LFTSOL" is one of my all time favourite tunes, for those lying in the grass on a sunny day kinda moments. Montell ruined it with a big black cloud.....

I almost did a double take when I recently heard a song by Montell Jordan called "Get It On Tonite"...I think it's from 1999 or 2000.. and it samples a good chunk of "Love For The Sake Of Love"..
