Joe Thomas is best known for his later Disco hit, "Plato's Retreat" also on TK Records.
"Polarizer" is the Joe Thomas cut to check out on this disc. This is smoking underground funky Jazz Disco with great guitar work. A great instrumental, which is intoxicating. Almost along the lines of Herbie Mann. Don't let this undiscovered gem pass you by.
"Funky Fever" is not bad, but after listening to"Polarizer" you'll come away saying that was Joe Thomas' best track.

Hi Bernie,
I always thought it was named "Polarize" - never really noticed the "r" at all. Nevertheless it's still an highly impressive jazz funk workout that fully deserves a mention in the vault.
