MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

Yes, that is the same Marilyn Chambers as the fabled(?) porn star of the 1970s. Guess Marilyn wants Benihana to slice that sausage into bite-size pieces-and I thought she could do it all!

"Benihana" is produced by Michael Zager (Let's All Chant) and not one of his better productions. Perhaps Marilyn Chambers was following in Andrea True's footsteps. All in all this is a lackluster 12 inch Disco single.

    Dear Marilyn,

    May she rest in peace.

Not a good song. Chambers voice isn't that good, better than Andrea True's though.

You must be high? This song came no-where near the charts. Few played it, it basically sucked more than MARILYN CHAMBERS did in one of her movies. Now let me say this, MARILYN CHAMBERS, at this time, was one HOT looking, sexy female!! She made the rounds in the New York Clubs promoting BENIHANA. When she showed up at THE COPACABANA(NYC) in late 1977, wearing a see-through blouse, and an incredibly short micro-skirt, every mans jaw fell to the floor. I ate it up as she was in the Booth with me, flirting and finally getting me to play this poor excuse for a DISCO record. I will admit that if she had done more than flirt, I would have done more to push this record. She didn't, I didn't. On m,y scale from 1-10 it is lucky to get a 2.

does anybody know the chart positions on this song, and how long it stayed on the charts? I read somewhere it did something on the Hot 100.
