MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

The title cut, I'm Doin' Fine Now is the song that many of us know the group New York City by. New York City were formerly known as The Tri-boro Exchange. An oldie from 1973, but a great oldie. New York City was produced by Thom Bell, Wes Farrell and John Bahler.

You are so right E, they do sound like the Spinners! The comparison never crept into my mind till you brought it up and I played the album once more.

    Bernie,

I never knew of the song "I'm Doin' Fine" honestly... until around the late 80's as it appears on my SOUL HITS OF THE 70'S CD. With Thom Bell producing the group... you would have figured they'd do some more... This group sounds so much like THE SPINNERS..
