Larry Levan was commissioned by Salsoul Records to create special remixes of select Disco tracks of the time and this album is the result.
Larry Levan as many know was the resident DJ at New York's Paradise Garage and was in demand for his brand of remixing in the studio. Larry Levan's Greatest Mixes Volume 2 is a shining example of his remixing prowess. Every song on this compilation is top shelf in every respect and very tight as a whole or individually. A must have without any reservations whatsoever.
Although the original 1979 vinyl release featured here is hard to find a new Salsoul CD due out soon (?) should bring this Disco classic into the digital age. The vinyl is well mastered thanks to the veteran mastering whiz, Jose Rodriguez. Scoop this record up if you run across it!
