The film "The Deep" was Casablanca Records first attempt at the movie business. This was also the basis for Casablanca adding the Records and Filmworks to their corporate name.

The Deep starred Robert Shaw, Jacqueline Bisset, Nick Nolte, Louis Gossett and Eli Wallach and centered around a couple exploring a sunken wreck while diving off the waters of Bermuda.

Music was handled by John barry who utilizes Casablanca's then new hot artist, Donna Summer. Overall this leaves a lot to be desired.
