MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

Cameo began life in New York around 1974 as a standard funk band a la Parliament / Funkadelic and was fronted by Larry Blackmon.

Cameo's 1979's Chocolate City Records release from the "Secret Omen" LP gave us the Disco classic "I Just Want To Be." They earlier had the great "Find My Way." Later Cameo standouts include "She's Strange" and "Word Up."

For some unique reason, CCD 20016 DJ was also used to number the very elusive long version of 'Find My Way' which was a separate disc having also a blank flip side.
