"Strawberry Letter 23" is a Quincy Jones production from 1977 issued by A & M on red vinyl. This song was featured in 2002 in a Kellogs Special K strawberry breakfast cereal TV commercial in the U. S.
Brothers Johnson later did "Stomp." Both tracks and more are on their greatest hits CD .

Does anyone know what the motive behind writing Strawberry Letter 23 is? What the artist was trying to say? Is it about a trip on drugs?

You guys are on drugs. "Strawberry letter 23" wasn't about drugs, it was about a state of consciousness. A way of existing. What it really was is a HIT!! At one point back in the day, this song was on every radio station in NEW YORK. AM, FM, soul, R&B,ROCK, ADULT CONTEMPORARY. Every station! Big in clubs too! Get remix version, made use of it possible in PRIME TIME. On my scale from 1-10, a strong 9.
