First heard this track by Scatino on the Dr. Rob Magic Show and my first ever purchase on eBay the A-side is a track very much in the bass pumping style of The Village People. Lyrically a funny song ("That's the end of my story/ Believe ME"). Nice outstanding voice. No further details found on the net. B-side is about the voice and a nice track.

Nov 20, 2011 | 9:53 pmBob Scatino,
How the hell are you man? You gave me a copy of this record when we worked together in Yorktown TJW SRC in 1983. I was job shopping there for 9mo. stint and then got offered full time but found a better paying job closer to home in Jeresy. Your Red 77 inspired me to buy that Charcoal 81 Vette. You were coolest guy in the whole damn place.. always busting out of your shirts every time you streched, You were like The Hulk and handled all the Telco services. You favorite line was "it's in the Switch" Miss ya...Great memories for me. Do you remember who I am? Still got that Vette or with Big? hahaha

Nov 17, 2011 | 2:14 amHi Bob, I was born in 1974 in The Netherlands, I'm 37yo now. I hope to go to the US soon, I've never been there or outside Europe (well, the UK). Friends did a roadtrip for 6 weeks from S-F. to Las Vegas and L.A. Amazing photos.
You have a great voice! Sorry to hear you stopped performing, but enjoy your retirement. I haven't heard other songs by you or the other artist Billy Vega. I''ll check it out soon.
Have you any idea how many copies were printed? I still need to upload a pic of the sleeve.
Good luck finding copies! And thanks for your information too.

Nov 17, 2011 | 12:49 ametro Thanks for the information. i have a copy of the 12" single, I just wanted a few more for some people that have asked me for them. I stopped performing last year. I had two more singles that I recorded in the disco era. I put them all on a Cd along with a non disco song(Storybook Children) that was written and recorded by a good friend of mine Billy Vera a while ago . Billy went on to record his #1 hit with Billy and the Beaters(At this Moment)) several years ago. Don't know if you have heard of either song. It is not a disco song but I liked it so I put down a track of it. Did you live in the US before you moved to the Netherlands. I believe you said you moved there in 74. Bob

Nov 16, 2011 | 9:38 amWow, nice to meet you, Bob! And thanks for this wonderful 12".
I heard this song on one of the last Dr. Rob Magic Disco Shows thru internet in 2004. The show focuses on disco from 1974-1979. .
http://discomagic.50megs.com/magic/DISCO_h1.htm or search www.web.archive.org or email him drrob@discomagic.50megs.com
With the help of DarrenS I retrieved the name artist and song title. http://www.discomusic.com/forums/showthread.php/9131-he-s-her-lover-but-what-is-his-name
I was never much into buying vinyl outside Europe ( I live in The Netherlands, US 70s disco is not common overhere and I am from '74). The ebay purchase was in spring 2005 from a seller in the US offering jazz records and your record was among them. Very sorry to hear you don't have a copy.
Are you still a performing artist?

Nov 13, 2011 | 7:29 pmIs this 12" single still available anywhere for purchase? Thanks Bob

Bob I do remember the name but I forget where you were working at yorktown. In telecom?
My brother has the 77 vette and I bought a new 2002 convertible in 2002, but I sold that also.So you bought a 81 vette? Do you still have it. How did you happen to see the record on discomusic.com? I was still singing up to last year but I quit the bands for a while. Might get back to it. So where are you working in Jersey and what part of Jersey. Boy that was a long time ago we worked at yorktown. I was good memories. Nice hearing from you and will talk to you again..bob
