NOTES ON THIS VINYL RECORD:

"I Love the Nightlife (Disco Round" by Alicia Bridges has been a Disco staple since the beginning and continues to be played, albiet too much, at retro events everywhere.

This is the extended Jim Burgess mix which adds a nice intro to an otherwise over-played, but very good song. Definitely look for the 12 inch Disco mix instead of the LP.

"I Love the Nightlife..." was later reworked by Masters At Work for the Last Days of Disco movie.

later copies of the "album" had a stickjer saying contains extended version (meaning the 12")

I do have the 12" version on a commercial CD. I do not remember exactly WHERE I got it (having since converted to a WMA file) but i do have it

The ultimate ONE HIT WONDER in DISCO, Of course it is a CLASSIC, and of course it gets a 10 on my scale from 1-10.

The album version matched the 12" Single - pure "4 on the floor" kick drum. The radio single was more of a "pop heartbeat" drum line, with more emphasis on a bum - BUM - bum - (uh), bum - BUM - bum - (uh) rhythm on the tom toms. The rest of the album is progressive rock - more like Canada's Carole Pope (of High School Confidential and All Touch fame). Jim Burgess also remixed "Lotta Love" for Nicolette Larson, and Steve Buckingham produced Melissa Manchester's "Pretty Girls" as well as Dionne Warwick's "No Night So Long" album.
