OK - This is it : For me at least - NIGHT LIKE THIS is Stacy Q's best album.
House music can be found all over this album and it suits her fine.
GIVE YOU ALL MY LOVE, on the album, is a pure C&C freestyle-inspired pop song. NIGHT LIKE THIS pumps with a low-key house beat, HEARTBEAT is a ballad penned by Bruce Gaitsch (Madonna/Animotion), INCOGNITO is a nice Hi-NRG number and so is TAKE THAT HOLIDAY.
YOU WROTE THE BOOK, written by Ken Kessie and Morey Goldstein (Sylvester/Modern Rocketry) and produced by Cole & Clivilles is a freestyle/pop hybrid. LOVE PHILOSOPHY is house-lite. Imagine Stacey's wispy vocals on top of a nice jack track! GOIN' OUT is a great dance track and TOO GOOD TO ME is a Hi-NRG/house track. The album ends with a real winner : THE EDGE OF LOVE a synth-fueled NRG pop number.
I've played this album so many times... and I still love it today.
