MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

Stacey Q's sophomore set and this time around she aims for a pop-rock sound. She knew that any song could be remixed and serviced to clubs - and stand a chance of becoming a club hit.

Kinda the same thing Madonna did when she released "Like a virgin" - it wasn't as danceable as her debut album.

Back to this one - GOOD GIRL is a pop song, FAVORITE THINGS could be called TRUE BLUE Pt.2, KISS IT ALL GOODBYE is danceable and fun, DON'T MAKE A FOOL OF YOURSELF is pure dance even in this LP version, THE RIVER is a Hi-NRG rocker (don't be fooled by the title!!).

Side B is definitely dancier.
I LOVE YOU is a pure Hi-NRG track, so is TEMPTATION, HARD MACHINE is moody and slightly offbeat attempt at rap/electro style, AFTER HOURS is a light synth-based typical 80's groove. ANOTHER CHANCE is a light ballad - which works in some odd way.

Not Stacy Q's best, but still worth a spin.
