Alisha did release a few dance hits and they are all gathered here on her very first album.
ALL NIGHT PASSION (sounding so much like I.O.U. from FREEEZ) was a huge club hit. TOO TURNED ON is another hit she had ; it's downbeat and very much in the electro style of the day.
BOYS WILL BE BOYS is a hard driven rocker not unlike some of the stuff Bobby "O" wrote & produced for The Flirts.
ONE LITTLE LIE written by UK stars Kristy MacColl and Simon Climie (from Climie Fisher) is a great pop song.
But of course THE track to remember is her huge hit BABY TALK (or is it INTO THE GROOVE Pt.2?).
Remember at the time Alisha was seen as yet another Madonna-inspired dance act... so it is very fitting.
Any album with 3 huge dance hits gets my vote as a must-have item.

Jul 18, 2009 | 5:55 pmHey Bernie - Yes this album is quite solid due to the fact that Alisha's hit singles stood out from the rest.
I recently bought a CD called VANGUARD DANCE CLASSICS Vol.1 (featuring Players Association/Twilight 22/Rainbow Brown/Carol Williams and Junior Byron) and the 3 Alisha tracks you mentioned are featured as well. Since they're back to back - they make for a 17 minutes medley that is quite stunning.

Jul 18, 2009 | 1:13 pm"All Night Passion," "Too Turned On" and "Baby Talk" by Brooklyn born, Alisha, were all huge in New York City back in the early to mid 1980s. Even when played today, these songs still illicit a strong and favorable reaction from those who remembered the era as well as the younger crowd who finds it so catchy.

I have the Vanguard Dance Classics CD you mentioned
