Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis are more than mere former members of The Time or Janet Jackson's red-hot producers. They also crafted tons of hits for acts as diverse as Klymaxx, New Edition and Alexander O'Neal. On HIGH PRIORITY, Cherrelle's sophomore album ; they hit an all-time high... (Remember we were still a year away from Janet Jackson's CONTROL); still YOU LOOK GOOD TO ME sounds a lot like CONTROL and ARTIFICIAL HEART reminds me of WHEN I THINK OF YOU.
OH NO IT'S U AGAIN is Prince-like and the fabulous SATURDAY LOVE (a duet with Alexander O'Neal) was a monster hit in the UK.
WILL YOU SATISFY is low-key and grooving at the same time ; it is my favorite track.
The title track is another highlight ; danceable yet so economical.A beat box and some synths plus a nursery rhyme-like chorus.
A fantastic album and a great addition if you're a Jam & Lewis fan.
