Champagne Explosion is one of the first albums released on the Montreal, Unidisc label. Unfortunately the vocal credits and the year of production are not given. The year is most likely 1978.
Side A is entirely instrumental.. essentialy consisting of percussion, horns and moog.. Side B has a couple of covers.. Love Now Hurt Later, which was originally done by Giorgio Moroder and Chris Bennett. This version is faster, and more horn driven than the original.
The other being Jesus Christ Superstar.
The sound could be easily compared to that of the Erotic Drum Band, which was also produced by DiMilo / Cucuzzella.. Most of the personnel (DiMilo, Cucuzzella, Denis and Denyse LePage) would (together, or individually) be involved in many disco projects coming out of Montreal: Nightlife Unlimited, Erotic Drum Band, Lime, MTL Express to name a few.
Champagne Explosion is sometimes listed as P'Zazz - Champagne Explosion.

Yes this album came out in 1978 - it's also the very first Unidisc album I ever bought.
Love the "underground" sound - very economical and edgy.
