MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

I've always had a weakness for the Salsoul label and Tom Moulton's mixes - so this collection fits the bill.

Opening with a cover of EASE ON DOWN THE ROAD from the then, soon-to-be released movie version of THE WIZ.

Up The Yellow Brick Road also features two long medleys ; one of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (You haven't lived until you've danced to a disco version of HAVAH NAGILA !!!! LOL).

The other one is from WEST SIDE STORY (I never realized how many hits this show/movie spawned !! AMERICA, MARIA, SOMEWHERE and TONIGHT are all there.

Not a great album but if you dig the SALSOUL ORCHESTRA - you might enjoy it.
