The second collaboration between the Mael brothers and Giorgio Moroder and crew truly shines.
WHEN I'M WITH YOU is my favorite. Clever lyrics ("When I'm with you - I never feel like garbage... When I'm with you - I almost feel normal") and a great mid-tempo electro backing - the falsetto voices and the icy instrumentation are a perfect match.
JUST BECAUSE YOU LOVE ME with its thundering guitars,the very fitting ROCK & ROLL PEOPLE IN A DISCO WORLD, the almost joyous and galloping NOISY BOYS (Try mixing this one with Janis Ian's FLY TOO HIGH) and the oh-so Giorgio STEREO truly shine.
YOUNG GIRLS is Bowie-esque in a way... Moody and catchy at the same time.
The album ends with the SUNSET PEOPLE-ish THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH.Great uptempo track.
The album lacks the element of surprise that No. 1 IN HEAVEN had but I love it a lot.
