Patsy Gallant entered the 1980s with one of her strongest albums yet. Strangely it's a lot less danceable than her previous efforts.
Maybe it's because it's a scarce and hard to find album, but it's also my favorite from all of her releases. I wish UNIDISC would consider releasing it on CD since it's one of the few they didn't put out on CD.
Recorded in Japan and backed by gorgeous strings ; the songs are pure pop. Patsy really excels at ballads. HOW MANY LONELY NIGHTS is a truly beautiful song.
Her dancier side still can be found on DON'T FORGET ABOUT ME, YOU'RE THE ONE and I GAVE YOU MY ALL.
Special note : Since the album is called STRANGER IN THE MIRROR ,the credits are printed backwards but are easily readable when placed in front... of a mirror.
