Hamilton Bohannon had been around much earlier than his Disco days would lead one to believe. Firmly entrenched in Funk and Soul and then Disco.

Here's an early Hamilton Bohannon 12 inch Disco single on Mercury Records from 1977 which contains the smoking "Bohannon Disco Symphony" remixed by the late Jim Burgess.

Hamilton Bohannon later did several versions of "Let's Start the Dance" and then pretty much disappeared.
