Of Course Steely Dan wasn't a DISCO group. But I was amongst those who played at least two of their CLASSICS in the discotheques. Remember MICHAEL JACKSON'S "BILLIE JEAN", I mixed "DO IT AGAIN" with it many a time. Then "REELING IN THE YEARS"was a crowd favorite as well. This was great music, DISCO or not!! Everyone danced, it gave the crowds "something different". Some have called STEELY DAN the greatest American band. I am not sure if I would go that far, but they certainly were great! This "Greatest Hits" LP features all their early stuff, including a former Number One hit in "RIKKI DON'T LOSE THAT NUMBER". With three REAL CLASSICS on it, this album has to get a 10 on my scale from 1-10.
