MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

Donna Summer's The Wanderer, was after the "Death Of Disco", allegedly. So Giorgio Moroder decided to go a little "New Wave" on Donna's first release outside of CASABLANCA RECORDS. Was it a success? Not really, she was, after all, THE QUEEN OF DISCO, so it did not sell very well. But I played nevertheless! Strong cuts were WHO DO YOU THINK YOU'RE FOOLIN" and the title cut, THE WANDERER. If you are a DONNA SUMMER fan, you should have this album. On my scale from 1-10, it gets a very strong 9.

By the time this album was released ; I was very much into rock as well as disco...so I loved that Donna showed some new colors.

I still argue that LOOKING UP should have been a single...and that dance mixes of certain songs should have been released to clubs - at least.
