BOZ SCAGGS has worked with many talented musicians through the years. This was his crowning moment. This album put him on the musical world map. LOWDOWN is a DISCO CLASSIC, that every deejay played. Some a lot more then others. I played it nightly, in the PRIME TIME HOURS! It was a Number One song at one time. The radio ate this song up. I used a second copy to make this one of my strongest songs in 1976. Soon after that LIDO SHUFFLE tried to become the second big track off this LP. It wasn't a NUMBER ONE song, but it did real well. Good album to own. LOWDOWN would be a HIT record in any decade! On my scale from 1-10, it gets a 10.
