The VILLAGE PEOPLE had many DISCO CLASSICS, two more in this album. IN THE NAVY was so big, it almost became a theme song for the United States Navy, until someone told them of the GAY tone of the song!! GO WEST was the other played CLASSIC from CRUSIN. The Village People were on their way down, we just didn't know that then. On my scale from 1-10, this album gets 10! Hope you didn't think the album wasn't strong enough. It was!!

Apr 22, 2008 | 4:19 amI couldn't agree more. I actually loved most of their DISCO music. You know what I also liked? "CAN'T STOP THE MUSIC"!! I played it, but it failed to hold a crowd. But I gave it so many opportunities to succeed, I wanted it to work. I supported the Village People til the very end!

Apr 22, 2008 | 4:09 amI don't know if that's true about the US Navy, sounds like spin to me. The whole gay image of the Village People probably hurt them by the time this album came out which was near the end of disco music's 70s heyday. As long as you didn't take them seriously the VP were enjoyable.

I recently bought this album (this time on CD) ; and I remember why I loved it so much BITD.
It was always my favorite out of all their albums.
