SIX out of EIGHT songs on this Madonna album got Chart action and became "DISCO CLASSICS" I don't think that even Michael Jackson can claim that!! Could be the BEST DISCO ALBUM EVER!! I am sure that VOYAGE and DONNA SUMMER could argue, and maybe this isn't THE BEST EVER, but it is in the same sentence!
This is what started it all for MADONNA. I thought this was pretty good, but she really can't sing, she'll burn-out. It won't last!! She outlasted all of us!!! She oozed SEXUALITY, even today!! But in 82', she was so hot!! Everyone wanted her!! MADONNA, I give you credit, you are the BEST!!! On my scale from 1-10, there aren't enough TENS for you!!!

Apr 12, 2008 | 4:50 pmOne last thing, what exactly is a DISCO CLASSIC? My definition, is music played at DISCOS, with exceptions to every rule, of course!

Apr 12, 2008 | 3:45 pmI beg to differ, Madonna has always maintained that she was DISCO at the time of her development as a singer(?). The music she gave us was played and mixed at DISCOS. Simply because she can't be as GREAT as the TRUE TOTALLY DISCO acts you mentioned, is beyond control. Of course she isn't as AWESOME as them, but she sure has been more successful, and sold more records. I give MADONNA her PROPS, despite the lack of talent, she sure has lasted longer! Those songs on her first album, are most certainly DISCO CLASSICS!

Apr 12, 2008 | 3:29 pmvyniljunkie, Madonna and "disco classics" should NEVER be used in the same sentence. Donna Summer and Voyage ARE disco classics. Although, not disco - this album isn't bad. But, this is NOT disco.. bubble gum pop, and lost its flavor due to too much radio play.

Look Who are the Background Vocals ....
Gwen Guthrie , Norma Jean Wright , Brenda White
and you don't want this LP one of the best !! but I think all of them working alone also that time ?
