This is the Soundtrack to the famous or is it infamous motion picture THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY. It was such a great movie that they named a restaurant after it.
The soundtrack, though not as good as SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER'S soundtrack, it wasn't all bad. In fact there are a few really big hits, including the ACADEMY AWARD winning LAST DANCE by DONNA SUMMER. There also is FIND MY WAY by CAMEO, the title track THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY by LOVE & KISSES, and the DISCO CLASSIC AFTER DARK by PATTI BROOKS. The hidden gem, is DONNA SUMMER'S cover of Serge Gainsborg and Jane Birkin's JE T'AIME. This is a seldom seen recording. Never released anywhere else. I am glad that I own this record, that rare record makes it all worth while. Get it!! On my scale from 1-10, this Soundtrack gets a 8.

A 12" promotional one-sided 33 1/3 of "Je T'Aime Moi Non Plus" (no parentheses) was issued by Casablanca in 1977 NBD 20105 alongside of "I Feel Love" NBD 20104, several months prior to the release of the TGIF LP. The single song disc included in the 3-record LP set was numbered NBLP 7099-3. The above two side-by-side promos were the 3rd and 4th Casablanca 12"s to carry the distinctive label design that lasted into Casablanca's 1983 Polygram era. Je T'Aime was not included as part of the promotional 10-disc 12" gift package (exceedingly rare, with all 10 records present in each's distinctive TGIF sleeve within a slipcover), given as gifts, as we recall, to 'designated' DJs as a prelude to the 1978 Disco Forum in New York.
