MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

This is the Jackson's transition album, going from MOTOWN to CBS. The parent company had yet to make a desicion as to what they were going to do with The Jacksons. Only "Goin' Places" and "Jump For Joy" actually got any air play at all. It would be a few years still before MICHAEL would take off. Interesting album though. On my scale from 1-10, it gets a weak 3.

actually this isn't the Jackson's "transition" album,
THAT would be their PIR debut, called simply "The Jacksons". I find "Goin' Places" pleasant in spots but on my copy the actual sound is quite thin, lacking the intensity common in most PIR productions, especially the prominent bass.
