Reader Comments on William Goldstein and the Magic Disco Machine

Seriously, where do you get these records from?? I had at one point over 47 thousand records. Most were garbage sent to me during the extinction period of 1978 to 1981 when the record companies sent out everything! I actually made furniture from the really bad vinyl. If I, don't know a record, it can't be too good! Where are you getting these never-heard of records? Did you actually PLAY these? Where? Did you get a POSITIVE crowd reaction? ARE you a record collector? ---- My friend, I've seen some examples of what you got, are you listing them simply because you have them? List something good for once. If we all listed every record we own, this section of this web site would suffer the same fate as DISCO did with the over-saturation of non-playable music. I bet you NO-ONE ever played this? Someone tell me different, and I won't mention it next time I see a STRANGE record that doesn't belong! Now don't get me wrong, I understand that tastes in music vary as much as the weather does. But has anyone ever played this??? Or was this the type of record I used to make furniture from! As a vinyl junkie myself, I understand the desire to HAVE EVERY PIECE OF VINYL YOU CAN GET YOUR HANDS ON. But listing the GARBAGE RECORDS is ridiculous! Is this a hidden classic I NEVER HEARD ABOUT?? Tell me more about it.You are frustrating me with some of these records. I am a lover of DISCO music, I was there from day one, I had every record that was playable and plenty more that weren't. In which category does William Goldstein and MIDNIGHT RHAPSODY fit??

My apologies TMOB, I finally figured you out. I went through all your postings. You like to post STRANGE and unusual, rare records. that's cool, I guess. Find some that were good, I saw that you did once. Sorry for my misunderstanding you.

vyniljunkie,

This part of DiscoMusic.com is a member built discography. As a discography that tries to include ALL Disco / dance records released there are bound to be some you may not like, but the fact remains that TMOB, you and others are doing their part to make this discography as complete as possible and it is not fair for you to get personal with your remarks. Please keep your comments to the record at hand and enjoy the stroll down memory lane. The site is about fun so let's keep it that way. Thanks for your understanding.

You are right, I got carried away. My passion for DISCO runs through my veins, sometimes My PERSONAL preferences reflect that when I get to discussing the music. I am sorry that I spoke my mind, without fully understanding where he was coming from. Now I do. Forgive my desire for the greatness of DISCO MUSIC. Forgive me if I went over-board. Next time I'll simply skip the page. If you haven't figured me out yet, I LOVE DISCO, and YOUR FANTASTIC WEB SITE gives my passion a voice. I very much appreciate that opportunity you have given me, and everyone else. I won't step on any toes unless they need to be stepped on. But this was ALL on me. Sorry. Please email me.
