MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

Any album that QUINCY JONES has produced is worth owning. Quincy is such a great maker of great music, that I believe that years, decades from now, he will be acknowledged as the CREME DE LA CREME of our generation.

James Ingram is one of the finest vocalists of this same generation. Putting them together is a fortunate occurrence for us. This album is so well made, well performed that it could make tears come out of the stingiest eyes.

There are FOUR, count them, FOUR beautiful slow ballads, that will make your plans for a romantic experience closer to a reality!! It will fulfill them!! My favorite one is HOW DO YOU KEEP THE MUSIC PLAYING? a duet that features James sharing the vocals with PATTI AUSTIN. This song was the THEME song from a popular movie out at the time called "Best Friends".

If I am not mistaken, more notoriety came for this song when LUKE and LAURA, television Soap Characters from "GENERAL HOSPITAL", decided that this song would be THEIR SONG!! A huge reception fell into the hands of QWEST records, and they put this song out in anyway or form possible. Everyone had it, every station played it, and I LOVED TO PLAY IT!!!

Other great ballads included the equally fantastic THERE'S NO EASY WAY which lets JAMES INGRAM cut loose and show off his voice. A third BALLAD from this album received plenty of RADIO and club play. SHE LOVES ME (THE BEST THAT I CAN BE) also features an unbelievable range and depth from JAMES INGRAM.

Add to this trio of SENSUALITY comes YAH MO B THERE, a dance-able tune that was played in many a DISCO. Overall, this is a really great album. Highly recommended. On my scale from 1-10, after this heavy praise, I give it a 2. GOT-CHA! A TEN!!!
