MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

Rudy Gil and Frank Lords were strange dudes. They wanted to be ROCK STARS in the worst possible way, and they found it. Looking for a certain glitch, a certain style, they put gel in their hair, colored it wild with florescent colors. They wore black, in 1980's America, these non-conformists found the GOTHIC look to their appeal. They were considered very weird, strange guys. Maybe they were a decade ahead of their time. The Big record labels weren't, so no-one signed them. Someone should have put up with their crap, and made money by signing them. Instead, they languish in obscurity forever. Their answer was to start their own Record Company. FIND YOURSELF was the result. Mixed by Bill Kelly, this deejay friendly record made waves in South Florida. It features three different versions, including a THREE STOOGES MIX? Actually it is pretty good, worth the few bucks it would cost you. If you shop around, maybe cheaper than a gallon of gasoline. On my scale from 1-10, it gets a 6.
