MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

This is quite a unique LP by Silver Spurz Orchestra, in that it unites the sounds of country music and disco. It may be tempting to pass this by, but on the whole it is actually very good.

The songs are mostly cover versions of country standards, with a couple of original tunes thrown in. All are uptempo, with the exception of ballad "Cowboy (come and love me tonight)".

Most of the songs are great, highlights are the 9 minute "Tumbling Tumbleweeds" (especially the instrumental breakdown, and the great saxophone solo at 5 minutes), and also the pulsating "Happy Trails"!
