MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

This disco LP from Camp Galore is very reminiscent in sound and style to The Wing and a Prayer Fife and Drum Corps' 2 LPs, being disco interpretations of a number of old standards.

The song "Boop boop a hustle" was an original composition for the LP, but done in the same style (and also released on 12 inch single). Curiously, the standards "Golden Slippers" and "Bill Bailey" are also credited to the same writers.

The front cover of the LP has the following words on it:
"Fun hits that were written when songs were songs and M-O-T-H-E-R was not half a word. For your dancing pleasure the ultimate disco explosion!"

Meanwhile, the back cover says the following:
“A driving disco beat with the greatest sounds since Hollywood in the Thirties. All the “Gettin’ it-on” fun of a Busby Berkeley musical with the funky rhythm pulse of today. Wow!—It’s enough to bust the ankle straps off Joan Crawford’s shoes or knock out the whole line at the Roxy. So, like the man says… “Stop talkin’, get up and dance your … off!”
