"Money" is a classic New Wave Dance from The Flying Lizards circa 1979 that sounds as though Yoko Ono is on vocals. Ironically, this is a cover of the 1963 Beatle's hit "Money (That's What I Want)."
This Virgin Atlantic Records commercial 12 inch contains the 6:13 remix version not available on the promo. This version adds some spacey sound effects during the break.
The Flying Lizards later put out a pretty good 12" single in the UK on Statik called "Sex Machine" which was a cover of the James Brown original.

Mar 18, 2008 | 11:32 amI do remember this record, it was very popular, both at the beach and in the clubs. This was the FIRST NON-DISCO song I ever played!! I was able to incorporate it right in the middle of my strongest sets. Easy to mix in and out of. Strong record, on my scale, it gets a --7--

Also issued as a promo 12" by Atlantic (DSKO 217)
