The Studs are an Australian 50's revival type glam rock group who initially in 1976 known as The Silver Studs doing 50's revival glam songs such as "Way Back In The 50's" and "Happy Days" which they hit the charts and were very popular on Australia's pop music TV show "Countdown." In 1977 they changed their name to The Studs and dropped the 50's grease image and started recording pop rock songs and some disco songs which they released in 1978 on the album "The New Album" which features disco songs like "Funky Feet", "Dr Bop" etc. and a few others along with pop rock. Anyhow this single is a great all Australian disco gem. "Funky Feet" is a great pop-style disco/funk song which has similar style to Leo Sayer's "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing". "Disco Death" follows the general disco formula of 1977 but is quite a funny song which they sing "disco death, bump yourself to death" which hardcore disco critics would most likely would hate and put it in the same category as "Disco Duck".
