In the mid 1970's THE METERS produced this album ''Trick Bag'', and the track lifted from this as a single ("Disco is the thing today") is a typical disco track of the era, incorporating bouncing basslines, swirling violins and wah-wah guitar. This was also the first 12" on the Reprise label.
