MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

A great song from the early days of Italo Disco sung by a young Ryan Paris in 1983. "Dolce Vita" was inspired by the early 60s' Fellini movie with the same name.

Back in early 1983 Fabio Roscioli (Ryan Paris) called Pierluigi Giombini, so he could listen to his singing. Giombini had written one of Gazebo's most famous hits "Masterpiece". After listening to Ryan's singing Giombini decided he was the one to sing "Dolce Vita".

"Dolce Vita" sold millions of copies worldwide back in 83. The music video was sponsored by the BBC and filmed at Les Champs Elysees in Paris. In 1985 Ryan Paris had another hit: "Fall In Love" and the video was shot at Cannes.

There was a special remix of this song done by Ben Liebrand in 1989. Ryan Paris, Gazebo, and David Lyme sang this time. Again in 1999 there was a remix of this song called "Dolce Vita 99". This summer (2003) a new techno/house/electronic version of Dolce Vita was released in Europe.

In my opinion "Dolce Vita" is one of the best songs from all time and it definetly is a must have in your music collection.
