NOTES:

Barrabas was a group that hailed from Spain and is an interesting hybrid of Santana-esque rock with funk and jazz thrown in to create some unique and gritty early Disco sounds.

Barrabas is best known for their often sampled tracks "Woman" and "Hijack." On this self titled album the main standouts are "Woman" and "Wild Safari." The entire Barrabas album is solid and very much recommended especially if you are trying to get at the early roots of Disco music.

Listen to Barrabas' other works on Atlantic Records. This particular Barrabas LP pressing is from Puerto Rico. The US pressing has an orange cover.

YOUR REVIEWS & COMMENTS ON Barrabas

This could contain the FIRST DISCO SONG, on an album that had four songs that were played in DISCOS, WOMAN could be the FIRST DISCO RECORD?? You tell me!! A solid TEN on this album, in my scale from 1-10.
