MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

Extremely rare private disco pressing that makes record collectors go bananas ...
So, what is so special about it ? This certainly doesn't have the same power than a big classic on West End as the sound here has not been designed for clubs. You've got the impression that it has been recorded in a small basement.
Is it rubbish then ? Some might end the argument because of this simple fact. On the other hand, you have there a band of good musicians, enjoying playing together like in a jam session. The song has the obvious funky bassline and plenty of breaks. As we often say, go for the instrumental with it's crazy keyboards.
You can't compare those musicians to the best jazzmen for sure, but this is DISCO, and there's definitely a party feelin' in this record. You can feel this laidback way of playing, like on other songs by another californian producer, Steve Marshall.

Worth the hunt ? Big money doesn't mean best record in the world, but this is very rare, interesting, and loads of people want it. It will give satisfaction to those who are looking for rare grooves, disco that sounds different, a certain "je ne sais quoi".
