Norman Whitfield is no stranger to the Motown, R & B and Disco scene having produced many hits for Rose Royce (Car Wash and Do Your Dance), Undisputed Truth (You + Me = Love and Smiling Faces Sometimes), Temptations (Papa Was A Rolling Stone) and Marvin Gaye (Heard It Through the Grapevine).

Norman Whitfield brought his Motown experience to Warner Brothers who set up a record label under his own name to release product.
