YOUR REVIEWS & COMMENTS ON Bonnie Pointer

Rebound records's excellent Disco Nights; Vol 9 is as far as I know the only source for the 12" version on CD and it clocks at over 7 minutes

At this point, it's Disco 101; but hard to overestimate, somewhat like like France Joli's "Come To Me." Only the 12" remixes reveal intention and merit.

In this case, glockenspiel, pizzicato violins, kickdrum with rock n' roll time signatures, and electric guitars plucked like banjos make for a peerless record. Various releases of this classic credit Jeffrey Bowen and/or Berry Gordy as producer(s).

I have no idea who deserves what credit; but were I involved, I too would have done whatever I could to ensure my name was on this record!

I can still hear the bells ringing. Without a doubt, one of my favorite songs to mix and remix with. That fabulous introduction, with all the chiming bells, it is a dream for a remixer like myself. I could do it over and over, extending those bells for what seemed like hours, actually the dancers waited a minute before getting what they wanted. A fantastic, high energy DISCO CLASSIC, full of instrumental breaks, and those BELLS!!! I would USE them as the blending/mixing point. No-one could tell, that I just started it all over again!! Simply fantastic on the floor, always packed the floor, adding to the excitement, a good light-man could have a ball with this song. On my scale from 1-10, it gets a 10. If you love DISCO, you must own this song!!!
