YOUR REVIEWS & COMMENTS ON Alma Faye

Alma Faye remains one of disco's little secrets: even disco-hating rock critics praised her Casablanca album.

This hit fully demonstrates her soulfully interpretive charm: the song is, as much as anything about the end of disco, which was becoming clear at the time.

Too downbeat to be anyone's favorite record - not mine, at least - but note for note, it's hard to fault. The strings are especially well-arranged.

So you think she wrote this song as a farewell to DISCO? Interesting? Maybe, but how about the end of a RELATIONSHIP? Either way, you are right, this little known and little played record was pretty good. While never a PRIME TIME PLAYER, it got a fair response from the Dance Floors. On my scale from 1-10 it gets a 6.
