NOTES:
Zulema Cusseaux had previously been a member of the Lovelles in the late 60s, and went solo in the early 70s. She had already released a number of LPs before recording this one in 1978.
On this record, as on previous occasions, she collaborated with the late Van McCoy, and in fact "I'm Not Dreaming" is a duet between the pair.
Apart from Van's contributions, Zulema was singer, songwriter and producer for most of the tracks, which makes her quite unique as a black female in that era.
The LP itself opens with a slow, brooding Prologue, and returns to the same theme at the end with an Epilogue. Otherwise, it is a classy mix of soul, pop and more uptempo numbers such as "Change" (available on 12 inch single in a 9:30 version), "See", and "Higher plane."
