New Marketts

Theme from M*A*S*H (MASH) (12")

RECORD LABEL / RELEASE INFO:

Satril Records (US) / 1978 / SAT 123
12" Disco Single 45 rpm vinyl

STUDIO CREDITS:

Produced by Joe Saranceno

TRACKLISTING:

Side A:
Theme From M*A*S*H (3:08) [Altman / Mandel]

Side B:
The Whistle (2:28) [Saranceno / Benay / Soder]

NOTES:

Great disco version of the theme from M*A*S*H, with helicopter noises at the beginning and the end. Only criticism is that it's too short.

Even shorter is the B-side, which as the title suggests is an entirely whistled disco tune.

I Don't know why this label decided to use the short version on a 12".

The 1976 original 7" single on the Seminole label (SEM 501-BS)includes a 'Disco Verion' that clocks at 5:10, the short version on the flip side is 3:10 long.
