NOTES:

Internationally famous for her 1970 hit "Band of Gold", and acclaimed for her 1974 LP "Payne and Pleasure", 1977's "Stares and Whispers" saw Freda take her first foray into disco music (to be followed in 1978 with her "Supernatural Love" LP).

The LP opens with the "Love Hangover" inspired, 8 minute epic "Master of Love," which half way through changes from slow and sultry into a dancefloor stormer - highly recommended! This is followed by her best known track from this LP, "Love Magnet", another great disco tune.

The remaining tracks are a mixture of disco, soul, and ballads. Overall, an album well worth checking out!
