NOTES:

Prism's first 12 inch Disco single, pressed on red vinyl, is aptly numbered PDS 1. This is a label that most of us are familiar with from their many Lime releases. Being that Prism started out life as the US branch of Unidisc Records of Canada, it shouldn't come as a surprise that their first single would be from a Canadian group.

The Erotic Drum Band was produced by Peter DiMilo with help from George Cucuzzella. A name which will continually reappear in numerous Canadian production credits of groups such as Lime, Nightlife Unlimited and MTL Express . . .

Percussion was, of course, the main characteristic of the Erotic Drum Band sound. The "B" side track Jerky Rhythm (as well as the cuts Plug Me To Death from the album of the same name), were almost ten minutes of hard driving percussion that were very similar to Katmandu's The Break. Hmm, could the fact that Katmandu's producer, Denis LePage was from Canada have anything to do with this?

YOUR REVIEWS & COMMENTS ON Erotic Drum Band

I love the voice on this song. Who is the guy who sings lead for the Erotic Drum Band?

There is also a plain white label Promo labeled "Special Dj copy" with same catalof g number, (PDS1A-B) on red vinyl with "Plug me to death" (7:19) on side B, nice white sleeve cover with 'Mix by Savarese" sticker, this copy was distributed in the Record Pools of the day.

BERNIE, I did that mix so often, in one form or another that I did with my eyes closed! Really, I'm kidding, my eyes were open! A true DISCO CLASSIC! I played the flip side as well! Sometimes TOGETHER!!! On my scale from 1-10 this great song gets a TEN!!!
