NOTES:

Although the name Cory Daye is not well known her voice is as she was the lady who sang for Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band.

Cory Daye went solo in 1979 with "Pow Wow" from her album "Cory and Me," which I highly recommend.

the pow wow (oh wow) demands respect and you MUST honor the sweet sounds that will flow into your face. Another comment read that they listen to the song to relax... f*** that s***. you pop the Pow Wow (oh wow) in and you rock. none of this puss s*** like let me hear the sounds and chill... no you put the cd in and you wear a cup, why, cuz that s*** will hit you in the nuts its that hardcore. now i know you maybe sying i dont know if this type of music is for me?, well it isn't you can here the sweet noise from the cd all you'll here is some disco, but only the true hardcore rips will here the sounds of death and destruction that Corye Daye is truly singing about.

Rock on Mrs. Daye, Rock on!

Boy, do I remember Cory Daye. Not only was she the voice behind my favorite band DR BUZZARD'S ORIGINAL SAVANNAH BRASS BAND, but when she went solo, I had her appear in the DISCO I was working at for free!! What a treat, as she lip-synced all the DR BUZZARD songs, but took my mike and sang POW-WOW from the deejay booth! So of course I loved that song! Honestly, it was a very good record. Good production values, and plenty of opportunities to remix it to death. I wasn't totally sold on her becoming a soloist, I felt she should have remained with AUGUST DARNELL and his group. I was right. if they would have stayed together, I expect that they would have continued to have much success. On my scale from 1-10, I give POW-WOW a 7.
