Carol Jiani's real Nigerian name is Uchenna Ikejiani and she actually used her real name on an early Salsoul Records release by the group Montreal, which was also produced by Joe La Greca.

Hit'n Run Lover" (Hit and Run Lover) is what we know Carol Jiani for and it is a Disco classic that is a staple in every Disco record collection. There is another Matra release with two different mixes that I prefer to this 12 inch. That other Matra release (MA-5) includes a really nice mix that clocks in at 7:07 with a killer intro and an "MDR version" on the flipside, which is hollow and too spacey sounding. "MDR" stands for Moby Dick Remix, which is the record label out of San Francisco. If you can, grab all versions / releases as they are all good, but slightly different.
